I was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 7:30 tonight! It is something that I have been looking forward to since I was 5 years old. I remember singing in primary "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission," thinking it was oh so far away! Today when I was in primary they sang the same song for me. I was near tears seeing the young boys that I have been able to teach the last couple of months, knowing that before they know it, they will be in the same shoes as me. It sometimes still doesn't feel real, but I am finally doing this! I am a representative of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am trying to adapt to all the rules, its a little different, but I believe I will be blessed for my obedience. I can not wait to make it out to Dallas Texas and to have the best two years of my life! Through faith, and obedience I will be able to see miracles worked beyond my imagination, some of them may even be worked through me.
I'd like to thank all those that have been an influence on my life! Most of all Kaj and Tyler Johnson, the best friends I've ever had, my brothers, my companions, and partners in crime, I love you two so much!! For all the friends I've ever had; for everyone that I have held close to me, I have had some of the best examples in my life, and would not be sitting here, a set apart ambassador of our Savior without each and every one of you. If you think your contribution was insignificant, just remember how the gospel works: "line upon line, precept upon precept." each and every one of you has made a difference in my life! My family as well has been a big influence on my life, and i thank them for everything they have done. To my parents, for raising me in the true church, and being everything i needed them to be. For my dad, who i have always looked up to. I have always wanted to be just like you, and hope to make you happy! to my mom, who has always been there for me, who has listened to me when i need someone to talk to, and has always been so selfless. My oldest sister Cherise; you have made such a difference in my life, and have sacrificed so much for me. You have dedicated much of your time money and food to my well-being. For your children; Kayden, Bentley, and Porter who are so full of life and love. you three are so amazing and i love watching you grow. For Brittany who has definitely always been there for me, to talk to and ask your advice. I cherish all the words of wisdom you have given me and will always keep it with me. As for my brother Justin; being my only brother we definitely have a special bond. you are my biggest example and i will never forget all the things you've done for me! Last but not least my dear sister Andrea; you've been such an influence on me, and you are so fun to just talk to whenever ive had a bad day, or just needed a laugh. your a great friend and i truly look up to you!
I will miss you all, and keep you close to my heart!
