MTC

Our drive to Provo was blissfully uneventful...unlike when we took Justin to the MTC. Tuesday was a day at the SLC Temple. Although it was bitter cold, even for the natives, let alone for warm-weather bodies, we had a beautiful day.

Wednesday was "D" day. Andrea, who is in dental hygeine school had a patient cancel, so we thought that even though he had already been to the dentist a few months prior, why not get his teeth cleaned right before dropping him off. Good thing we did because they found cavities that our dentist erroneously missed. We are truly grateful for Andrea catching these so they can be taken care of in the MTC before he goes to Texas and especially before he would have needed at least 3 root canals. It goes without saying that a change of dentists is on the to-do list.

We are so fortunate that Reid and Andrea live right across from the MTC. Justin and Laura drove up to Provo that morning to join in on the "drop-off". We also found out that the MTC sign had been removed, so the photo opportunites are gone. We improvised with a bus stop across the street that kind of looks like the building. If I were better at photo shop, I would photo shop the old sign in here, but use your imagination okay?

It was unbelievably bright, hence the squinting eyes

Not real sure why Wayne decided to shed his coat
but rest assured, it was very cold.
Riley aka "Elder Layton" was so anxious, he got out of the car
and pretty much on a bolt for the doors. It was a challenge just
to get these pictures because he wouldn't stop for a picture.
So glad he is anxious to serve!

  1. It was a cool day dropping you off at the MTC! I never had that experience with my brothers. Justin was pretty sad after we dropped you off and said several times that he already missed you. I think I take the cake however because I am pretty sure I was the only person who cried. You are going to be such a great missionary. Justin and I can't wait to see all the things you accomplish!
