Hey there everyone,
This week truly has been a special one! I will start off with the good news, Nathan and CJ agreed to be baptized on June 11! Elder Lyman and I are really excited to see them progress in the gospel. The ward members here are so awesome! Nathan and CJ came to church yesterday and, to be honest, they just look like members already, but when they came to church, anyone that didn't recognize them went up and introduced themselves! Nathan is pretty analytical and has a lot of questions for us this weekend, but they are both really open-minded and really truly want to know the truth. For that reason, I have no doubt that they both felt the spirit very strongly.
This morning, something really funny happened. I laugh about it now, but at the time... not so much. Every Monday morning we wake up at 5:45 to go work out with Ben Avitia (a less active member that lives in the apartments with us). We wake up, throw our clothes in the laundry and go to the gym. Well, he wasn't there, so we did a quick workout and went back to the apartment. We had probably been in the apartment for 20 minutes, cleaning and washing things, we look at the clock, and it said 5:45. Well, to make a long story short, when I set the alarm for 5:45, I accidentally pushed the button that switched the time zone of the alarm clock to eastern. So we got an extra hour early start this morning. Needless to say, we are both a little tired.
Elder Lyman and I have had a great week teaching people about the gospel, with the obvious climax of the week being Saturday night when Nathan and CJ accepted the commitment to be baptized! Thank you all so much for your love and support.
