Hey Y'all,
This week has been great. We had a tornado about 10 miles away from our apartment. I was in Wylie when it happened on an exchange, and Elder Snow was in Rockwall with Elder Lyman. Elder Snow was not very fond of the sirens going off and kept Elder Lyman up until midnight waiting for the tornado warning to be revoked. Luckily though, either the tornado was a small one, it didn't touch down, or it just was out in the middle of nowhere because we haven't heard anything about any damage.
Everybody that we have been teaching has had something happening this last week, so we didn't get to teach too many lessons, but the ones that were able to meet with us were awesome lessons and very powerful. Rob and Kat Rodgers are going now to begin reading the Book of Mormon from the beginning, at least a verse a day. And Lily Manjevar is thinking of a baptismal date that she will be able to get her mom to attend. Her testimony is so powerful, and we are really happy for her because she has been waiting for about a year now to be able to be baptized and now she has decided that it is time. She will be blessed for her decision!
Sister Braman, a member in Rockwall Ward brought two nonmembers to church yesterday that want to begin taking the lessons. We are so excited to begin teaching Barbara and Ellie.
Other than that, the week has been awesome. Just a blur! We have been working hard and seeing the blessings. Can't wait to see what happens this week!
Love, Elder Layton
