Hey Y'all!
This past week has been a great one! To start off, we got to meet Nathan and CJ Merrill, another one of the Heath Ward investigators. They are just awesome! We went over and started off with just a get to know you, and he is in 2 Nephi and is cruising straight through it. I have never seen anyone make it through 2 Nephi so easily! We asked him why he was reading the book of Mormon, and he said he didn't know. Whenever he prays he says he feels urged to read The Book of Mormon. How awesome! Both of them are reading and praying and just really desire to know the truth. Obviously there are a few things they are having a hard time with, but that it just comes from being raised a certain way their whole life. Nathan works at the local mega church (Lakepoint) teaching youth life skills and stuff like that and CJ is an 8th grade science teacher (bless her soul). In meeting with them, and stating our purpose we understand one another very well and both Elder Lyman and I are really looking forward to teaching them.
Also, there is a ward member in Heath who was recently re-activated, Sister Womack. Her husband is not a member, but he comes with her every week. And on top of that, she is the Gospel Principles teacher. She has got such a strong testimony of the gospel and is an awesome teacher. She is a little afraid of the missionaries attacking her husband, so we are just sort of "playing it cool" for now, until we gain her trust and we can start teaching him. Everything here is just going wonderful! We cannot complain about a thing (other than the lack of topography)
