Hey Everyone,
This week went by WAY too fast! We visited with Ray Rowell twice this week, and he is doing awesome! He is going to have surgery this week, so we are going to have to push the baptism date back a little, but he is really a great guy. Last Thursday when we went by for our appointment his wife had made us fajitas, they were so good!
Last night we taught the Howell family. I am not sure if I have mentioned the Howell family before, Sister Howell is a member that was inactive for 30 years and came to church and brought her family with her a few months ago. John (her husband) is awesome and is just a great guy! He always has great questions for us and is very interested in the gospel. Then there is Christina and Isis, they are both great as well. We love teaching the Howell family; the whole family is some of the best people I have met.
This last Friday and Saturday, we spent a great portion of the day at the Garland Event Center. There, about 2000 youth from within the entire mission boundaries came and had a big event called Jubilee, and they also had a Youth Conference along with it. The Jubilee part of it was a big celebration of the youth of the church. Basically, they took all of the kids and used all their talents and had a musical event. There were 3 performances on Saturday, 10 am, 3 pm, and 7:30 pm. each performance was about 2 hours long, and it involved the youth singing and dancing and a lot of cool things like it. It was a really awesome event and we really enjoyed it. The reason we all were invited to come, is because we had a small part in the performance. There was one song called Praise The Man that the missionaries, in the middle of the song stood up and walked down the aisles with flags from all different countries and sang part of the song down on the floor. The whole Jubilee was a great spiritual experience.
Other than that, the week has been great, I suppose that is all I have to report about the week, and this week we are looking forward to another great one.
