Howdy Y'all,
Transfer calls came
this weekend, and what good news, I am going to be staying here in the promised
land of Tyler for 6 more weeks! Elder McOmber
and I have been building up steam, and I am grateful that we have the opportunity
to continue with the work here.
We have been working
with Myosha closely because her baptism is coming up in just two weeks. What a miracle, she got a job this week! Now, she can move out and get baptized!! Her friend Sherrica has been progressing
nicely as well! Last week she moved to a
city, Jacksonville about 30 minutes away, it is in some different Elders' area,
but it is also our area because she is going to the singles' branch. The big obstacle was how far away it is; we tried all day on Saturday to find someone
that could bring her on Sunday. Well, on
Saturday night she told us that she was going to move out of her fiancĂ©e’s
house, and move in with her sister (in Tyler) so she could come to church every
week and be baptized. What a miracle! That is such a blessing! On Saturday
we did some tracting around the church, and found a lady named Connie. She grew up catholic, but sees a lot of
corruption in all different churches and really is just way confused. We told her that she had answers and she
started crying. She told us that she has
been talking to God about that, and she just wants to do what is right. I know the Lord placed us in her path so that
we could bring the gospel to her. What
an incredible blessing!
Everything in Tyler Texas
is going amazing! I wish I could write
one fraction of all the miracles we see on a daily basis. The Lord is in this work!
Elder Riley Layton
